Floating black circles on fine stems that, depending on the angle, gather into a swarm formation or an unfamiliar living creature.

“Volatus” consists of a multitude of black paper circles on conical paper stems of varying heights.

This gives the artwork a sculptural quality with additional optical depth, where the circles appear to float and, depending on the viewing angle, take on a vibrant, almost organic presence.

The viewer might perceive an unknown, alien creature or a swarm formation.
