# No. 17 – Fractavia

A spiral, fractal pattern in earthy brown that comes alive through its shadows — like a pulsating creature or a gathering swarm.

- **Material:** Remake, fine grain, autumn CR 1/s, 250g/m² (made from 25% leather by-products and 40% recycled paper, plus cellulose from sustainably managed forests); Archival paper 120 g/m²
- **Substrate:** Finnish wood board, beige 1,870 g/m², 90 × 70 × 0.4 cm
- **Frame:** lacquered wood

Fractavia is a three-dimensional paper work consisting of circles on cones of varying heights.

The circles appear to organically arrange themselves into a spiral, fractal pattern, creating an impression of movement and transformation.

The resulting dynamic shadow play, along with the earthy brown color of the paper with its leather-like texture, makes the work appear alive – like a pulsating creature or a forming swarm.
