No. 18 – Neurogrid Paper Relief by Larisa Semke

Neurogrid, derived from Neuro (nerve) and Grid, is a techno-organic relief that resembles a section of a cybernetic nervous system.

The strictly geometric surface is traversed by bright red channels that appear like pulsating energy conduits – as if information is flowing here or heat is circulating.

Despite its futuristic appearance, the work simultaneously evokes associations with biological structures: fungal mycelium, root networks, veins. A synthesis of technology and nature – controlled yet alive.
