No. 21 – Avimera Paper Relief by Larisa Semke

This sculptural paper relief presents an interwoven arrangement of fine, pyramid-like elements. Variations in height, size, and grey tone of the cover plates convey the impression of an organic swarm.

In the background, a hexagonal grid unfolds like a rigid, ordered system. Against this, a sweeping trail through the centre of the composition creates a sense of movement, as if the swarm were winding organically within the fixed grid. The triangular elements recall abstracted bird silhouettes – minimalist and almost pictographic.
