No. 6 – World Paper Relief by Larisa Semke

This work is a three-dimensional interpretation of a world map with replicated elevation differences that are oriented on topographical reality.

The individual continents are composed of a grid of small, square columns, whose varying heights replicate the diversity of the Earth’s relief.

Through the precise arrangement of elements and the pure white color, the simplicity and purity of the design are emphasized. The shadows cast by the geometric elevations create a subtle interplay of light and texture.
